Still no baby!

Well Monday has come and gone with no baby. Why my children think they need extra time in the oven is beyond me. Maybe a little of there Dad in them. (He's always late.) I only cried a few tears, but not looking forward to trying again, so I guess will wait until baby is ready.

My wonderful family sent my flowers today. I think that they were because I should have had a baby, but I just looked at as a HAPPY TUESDAY! instead. I love you all! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
(Sorry flowers are a little out of focus, I didn't look close until I was already blogging.)

Christmas come and gone

We had a wonderful Christmas at our home. The kids slept until 8:00Am so Dan went running. The snow coming down made it feel like a winter wonderland. We laid around and watched a lot of movies. (Little house on the prairie) It is weird to not be around family this year. And it sounds like Mom and Dads was kind of quite as well.
It's Boxing day today and I would love to box up my pitiful Christmas tree. I still love all the other decorations, but that tree has seen better days. (days without cats)
We hope that everyone else found the season to be MERRY!

Lights of Christmas

We finally made it to the "lights of Christmas" last night. This is a Christan camp that goes all out with lights, food and programs. It cost too much, but every year Dan gets two tickets because it is where they take the Fifth grades to science camp. It was cold, but not too cold. I didn't fall on the ice and a good time was had by all. They said the attendance is way down this year because of the snow. Speaking of snow... It's still snowing. We have been snow in for over a week now. I'm done but the kids are having to much fun.

one year older- and wiser too...

The cats turned 2 today! Liam planned the birthday cake. The cats loved it. As far a wiser I'm not sure that cats get wiser. They should run from me and stay out of my room, but this has not been learned. Daily I yell get out!!!!!! But they still come in my room. (MY ROOM = MY SPACE.) If only the kids did not love them so much, I'd ship them off to grandpa's.
Last week my friends in the ward gave us a baby shower. It turned out great. I think that there were 15 adult and 13 kids. We tied a quilt, painted onesies, made scrapbook pages and of course we ate lots. But the best thing was the new stroller. My kids are loving it. They play with it daily with dolls and without. The Quilt was also a hit. Liam cried when we said that he could not sleep with. Everybody made one square and it was fun to see that everyone was thinking when they made it.
I know that I am blessed to have such great friends who care for me and my family.

Canning

Dan has been a little crazy lately.

We have canned Tomato sauce, tomatoes, Jam and Jellies. So I should have guessed that apples would be next. This is pie filling. It turned out great. I did lose one jar on the canning pot. The other funny thing about this is that we almost always start late. By the time we are done, I'm about a sleep.
(Dan has also made 5 homemade apple pies and not ate store bought bread for two months. He makes all his own bread.)

Halloween

Ok, I thought that I would remember to blog my Halloween pictures, but I guess you need to remember to take the pictures to start with. This is as good as it gets. Just picture Autumn in an Poodle skirt and Savannah dress as Willy Wonka and you'll get the picture. (and Superman not spiderman.) Liam loved the cape. So it was worth the work.

Nothing new

Ok my once a month goal is not working. I need to get in gear. We love our new computer. I have to fight with the kids for my turn. This week has been a little crazy. I seem to take to much on. Monday I worked in Liam's class then home to sew and sew and sew. I did get the costumes all done. Tuesday was our wards trunk or treat and I was in charge of cotton candy. (which I borrowed from the PTA) It went off great. I had too much, but by the end of the night I was dead dog tried. Wednesday was a low day until I got the call the cotton candy machine no longer worked. Stress. I had left it at the church for another ward to use. She didn't get enough for her Trunk or treat. I stressed the whole night because the PTA needed it for Thursday's Monster mash. So I got up this morning trying to figure out how to fix it by 12PM. Dan even used he's planning time taking it a part with no luck. Luck for us the another school let us borrow there's. So run over there to get theres and back to our school to help make cotton candy for two more hours. (can I tell you that I hate cotton candy now- I didn't even want a taste) I hope that I sleep good tonight, because tomorrow is another full day at school. Party party party!!!!!
Hopefully I will remember to take pictures and post again!

Riding a bike

Liam learned to ride his bike this week. He was so proud. When he got home he asked for the training wheels to be put back on. But he later decided to store them for the new baby.

I thought I could find pictures of Autumn and Savannah learning to ride as well. So the second picture is Autumn. I think Savannah is before the digital era.

Primary Temple Trip

I little while ago our primary went to the Seattle Temple. The kids had a great time. The day was hot. I hope they could feel the spirit. I'm looking forward to taking the kids on Tuesday to the Twin falls Temple open house.

Girls Camp

This year I was the Stake Hiking specialist for girls camp. It was fun. Our 1st and 2nd year hikes may have been a little short, but we had fun route finding and visiting.

This is my 4th year over night group.
myself, two leaders and 27 girls. We did a small hike to a lake and then canoed to an Island for the night. Try docking 10 canoes at the same time. great fun. On the island I made dutch oven pizza which turn out great. (took to long but girls were fine waiting.) Next I had a treasure hunt with activities along the way. Like drinking slime and eating candy cockroches, a puzzle and an ostacle coruces.
They even talked me into sleeping under the stars. We stayed up too late. Got up at 6am and canoed back. I feel very blessed that anything fell into place. Man it's good to be home. Now I must get ready for our Utah trip.

Pinewood Choir

Last night was Savannah's choir program. The first 5 songs were done on the xylophone with only a few kids. (Savannah was chosen) And then the kids sang a bunch of songs. Savannah had a small solo in the second to last song. She was really nervous, but it sounded great. We have the best music teacher around. I'm just glad that she now has no more early morning practices. More sleep for me.

10th Street

Ok two blogs in one day, don't pass out. I was just excited. Tonight was the lottery for the special middle that we want Savannah to go to. Her name was pulled. Yeah! She had about a 50/50 chance. She is still unsure, but was happy that four of her soccer team members got chosen also. (2 of which are LDS) This school I guess is like a charter school, only a little different. It's focus is on art and music and only has 170 student for 6, 7 & 8 grades. Looking around that room I saw lots of LDS families, not all made it but it felt good to know that a lot of good kids are going to be there. Savannah has grown so much is year. But it's still hard to think about her at middle school.

Scrapbook complete

Here are a few of my favorite pages in our Disneyland scrapbook. This is the first book I have finished sence going to England. (england 5 1/2 years ago is still a work in progress.)
I hope you can see how cute the paper dolls are. It was fun dressing them.

Disneyland

After 4 months of nothing from me. I guess I try again.
We had a great week away. It started in Ellensburg so Dan could run a Marathon. His time was 3:13. Which is great but not his goal. We then spent two days drive to Anaheim, CA. I thought our Hotel was great. Walking distance and plenty big. We went to Disneyland for two days and Universal Studios one day. We went to the beach and a Museum. Friday we started the three day drive home. With a stop at the golden gate bridge and San Francisco for lunch. That night we ended just outside the Redwoods. The next day we drove slowly though them. Beautiful country. I think that Dan could move down that way. We played on the beach and the kids got sunburned. (Autumn was only blotchy because I did a quick spray, but Liam never got any sunscreen.) We made it Grants pass to spend the night. Had our hubcap stole while we slept. Sunday we drove the last 7 hours home, to find everything well. We had a great time, but don't have any plans to spend that like of money again even to soon. The Exchange kids did great, mainly slept in the car. Erik like to sing to his MP3 player, which is funny and a little annoying.

Nookachamps

Dan and Clifton ran in the Nookachamps 1/2 Marathron this last weekend. The both did great. Dan was able to shave 5 minutes off his last years time. They both look great. Wish I even wanted to run to the corner.

Christmas break

We had a great Christmas Break. Our first night was spent in a little cabin at Ensign Ranch with Dan's brother Clifton and family. It was so beautiful. It snowed all night and it was hard to leave in the morning. (Not only becasue of the roads, but the it seemed like winter wonderland.

Christmas was spent in Utah with my family. I'm so lucky that my family is so great. We had a wonderful time. Between Christmas and New Years we went to ARCHES. It was awesome. The colors were so beautiful. Red, White and Blue. What more could we ask for. Dan even let us get Hotel both nights. (NO tents in the snow.)

We are turely blessed.
