House

We have been doing some work on the house. We first replaced the front room window. This was quite pricey and a big job. We needed lots of manpower to lift that window. I when spent the last month repainting the house. The weather here, and Hazels nap schedule, made the process long. It's not done, but I am, all that's left is the trim which Dan said he would do. It might be the end of summer before it's finished.

Perkins Family

Pinewood PTA had a Family Hoe Down for the end of the year. They offered pony rides, (which Hazel loved but I didn't have my camera) cake walk, pie eating contest, square dancing and a few games. They had pictures and costumes. How could I refuse. Dan was even a little excited about the idea. I think that it turn out like of cute. Now it is summer, if only the sun would come out.

Vancouver Temple

Last weekend we were able to go to Canada for the Vancouver Temple House. It was very beautiful but busy. We had a group of 19 people and it seemed that was to hard to keep everyone on the same page. After the temple we went Newton wave pool for some swimming. It was about 15 miles away. Canada has some good Leisure Centres. I think that there are 4 pools like this one within 30 miles. After we tried to get some dinner, but there was a HOCKEY game going on and they could seat us. So we spilt in to two groups and ate in different places. We got home at 10PM. I sure wish that Mom, dad, Tracy and girls could have stayed longer so they could join us.

Hazel is trying out her backpacking skills out the beach near La Connor. She got mad then I took the sleeping pad off her back and only eat a few rocks and drift wood. The picture with the great smile (laugh) is her teasing me about putting rocks in her mouth. (which there is one in there but it's small)
Dan took the kids (Everyone but Hazel and I) for an overnight-er on Hope Island. The weather was great and all sleep warm and tight. There was a rope swing and everyone had fun, but no pictures were taken.
The kids had fun playing on the beach while Dan put the Kayak back on top. Then sat down and played his Ukulele. His getting quiet good. I'm impressed. Tonight for FHE he played "We thank thee oh God for a Prophet" and "I am a child of God." It was very nice.

OK- It's been a while and I'm ready to share our gross figure pictures. She is doing great. The nail has finally came off and hopefully come in again. She got quiet a bit of attention with this boo boo so she now thinks that everything revolves around her. Terrible twos way a head of the game- Or maybe she watching her teenage sister to much.

Liam turns 7

Liam had a birthday today and I think that it was a pretty good day. He got Cheese Cake, nerf bullets, punching fist, and Star wars lego.

Guess who came to dinner?

Monday right after school the doorbell rang, and who would believe that our long lost foreign exchange student was there. We have not seen him for a year and a half. He came to town to visit a friend from high school. We loved having him around again, so we invited him to come to dinner the next night. We played games and laughed. What a great time! We miss you Erick!
