Old McDonald had a farm!!

Well, I feel like my living in a farm. We now have 13 chickens. 9 of which are in my bathroom. It been great because I have been able to keep the cats out of my room. However I am done having my room smell like chickens. (I guess cats are better) Dan is spending way too much time on his coup. It should be done by now. But like anything his does he goes way over board. (kids play house on top)

A late Easter picture

I finally finished Hazels Easter dress so on Sunday and the kids dressed-up for me. I tried to take some pictures but had no real luck. Hazel didn't like the sun and wanted to eat. Liam wanted to sit where he wanted to sit. So I gave in and went to feed Hazel and gave the camera to Savannah. She took Autumn around the yard and took a ton of cute pictures. Liam wouldn't play her game. Autumn took some cute ones of Savannah, but Savannah deleted them before I could see them. I bet they were cute. So I guess I have to go to target now to get some pictures.

spring break week 2009

Our week went like this:
Monday- I painted Savannah's ceiling and Dan ripped out the tile in our main bathroom. Had Tony and Zach over for dinner and FHE.

Tuesday- I painted the walls blue and Dan continued to work on bathroom. We had 3 chicks hatch.

Wednesday- Went to breakfast with Clapps and painted stripes on the walls. Dan still worked on bathroom. One more chick hatched. 4 total

Thursday- We went rollerskating and then the kids went to the Johnsen's so Dan and I could go to dinner. Dan worked on tile.

Friday- We drove over to Yakima to the spaghetti feed before the race. Then to the Hotel in Ellensburg for some swimming and TV time.

Saturday- Dan got up early to run his 7th marathon. He ran in his new shoes. (just like barefoot running) and was able to shave off 1 minute his last years time. Then we took the long senceic way home.

Sunday- Just confernece and a nice long walk with friends and waffles for dinner.
It was great to send everyone off to school this morning.

Chicks one week old- Pep, chewy, chickadee and Finn.

Boat Trip

Hazel's first kayak trip went well. We were going to make it an over night-er but the weather started to look too wet. So we set out after school and drove to La Conner and put in. The paddle over to Skagit Island took about 40 minutes. (The island is in front of us)This was also Savannah's first paddle on her own. She did great! (her arms got tried, but mine did to.) We had a picnic dinner and a walk around the island looking for the campground (which were at but didn't know) and then began our paddle back. Hazels return trip was not so good. She cried and cried. I tried to calm her but with no sucess. Dan got us to shore asap and Liam, Autumn, Hazel and I walked back to the car, while Savannah and Dan contunied in the boats. They beat us!! I think that Dan will be seriously looking to buy Savannah a kayak now that she a has shown her ability to do it on her own.
Well that was our first spring break adventure. Hopefully the week will be fillled with lots of fun.

Baby sling

Here is Autumn modeling my new baby sling. It is 5 yards of knit fabric. (could be a lot small amount for kids) It worked great on everyone. Even Dan liked the hands free as he tried to take her out to cut down the trees.

Best weekend Ever

Our weekend started with the kids missing school on Friday because Grandma, Grandpa, Kerry and Tracy flew in. (also because Autumn was a bit sick.) Saturday was Autumn's Baptism which was very nice even if her mother couldn't stop crying. We had a bunch of wonder friends and family over for dinner after. (which was eaten very well.)

Sunday morning we were off to church again for Hazel's Blessing. It was very nice as well. After sacrament
we had to take Autumn home because she was still feeling under the weather. We had a nice afternoon with our Utah relatives before they left for the airport. The than up to the other relatives for more good times.
