Boat Trip

Hazel's first kayak trip went well. We were going to make it an over night-er but the weather started to look too wet. So we set out after school and drove to La Conner and put in. The paddle over to Skagit Island took about 40 minutes. (The island is in front of us)This was also Savannah's first paddle on her own. She did great! (her arms got tried, but mine did to.) We had a picnic dinner and a walk around the island looking for the campground (which were at but didn't know) and then began our paddle back. Hazels return trip was not so good. She cried and cried. I tried to calm her but with no sucess. Dan got us to shore asap and Liam, Autumn, Hazel and I walked back to the car, while Savannah and Dan contunied in the boats. They beat us!! I think that Dan will be seriously looking to buy Savannah a kayak now that she a has shown her ability to do it on her own.
Well that was our first spring break adventure. Hopefully the week will be fillled with lots of fun.

Baby sling

Here is Autumn modeling my new baby sling. It is 5 yards of knit fabric. (could be a lot small amount for kids) It worked great on everyone. Even Dan liked the hands free as he tried to take her out to cut down the trees.

Best weekend Ever

Our weekend started with the kids missing school on Friday because Grandma, Grandpa, Kerry and Tracy flew in. (also because Autumn was a bit sick.) Saturday was Autumn's Baptism which was very nice even if her mother couldn't stop crying. We had a bunch of wonder friends and family over for dinner after. (which was eaten very well.)

Sunday morning we were off to church again for Hazel's Blessing. It was very nice as well. After sacrament
we had to take Autumn home because she was still feeling under the weather. We had a nice afternoon with our Utah relatives before they left for the airport. The than up to the other relatives for more good times.

Today I got big smiles on film. So now everyone can believe me. She really is a cute baby even if I do say so myself.

Great Weekend

This weekend was great! The picture are out of order so this is that we did backwards. Monday I took Hazel to Doctors and she weights 9lb 13 oz. Too big, too soon. Then Dan took the other kids out on the water. He is trying to hit every inch of water between Olympia and Canada. So he is taking small day trips around us, getting farther way. This time they went from Everett to Mukotio. (7 miles) It was cold but I think they had a good time. His goal is to paddle to Alaska when the kids get older.

Sunday was Autumns 8th Birthday! I think she had a good day.

Saturday we went to Canada for are anual swim trip. So now Hazel has been out of the Country and she didn't even get her picture taken. Savannah was able to bring a friend which I think went well.

Day in Seattle!

Friday at bedtime we were not going to Seattle, but while Dan was running Saturday morning he changed his mind. It was free Educators day at the Pacific Sciences Center. So we ran down there barely making it in time. Missed all the good free stuff, but still got to wander around the science center for free. The kids loved it. It's been a while since we have been there. Hazel slept most of the time. After the science center we went to the Jade Garden for Dim sum. (not to our liking, but Dan's) We then had to hurry home so Savannah could make it to her scoccor game which was a tie. It was a bit rushed, but a great day.

Bath time

Hazel is still unsure of the water. I think that she likes it. You got to love that belly!
