Day in Seattle!

Friday at bedtime we were not going to Seattle, but while Dan was running Saturday morning he changed his mind. It was free Educators day at the Pacific Sciences Center. So we ran down there barely making it in time. Missed all the good free stuff, but still got to wander around the science center for free. The kids loved it. It's been a while since we have been there. Hazel slept most of the time. After the science center we went to the Jade Garden for Dim sum. (not to our liking, but Dan's) We then had to hurry home so Savannah could make it to her scoccor game which was a tie. It was a bit rushed, but a great day.

Hazel is still unsure of the water. I think that she likes it. You got to love that belly!

Almost 3 weeks!

Well, Hazel gets held a lot at our house. I think that she is going to be very spoiled. We went to the Doctors again today and I guess the cookie and cupcake diet has worked. She gained 10 oz in one week. (she only should have gained 7 oz) So mom and I teased that in 4 weeks when they come again she will have gained 40 oz. (2 1/2 pounds) She will be a big girl.

We even went on our first walk. We walked to the library which is about a mile. We love our stroller. She did great on the way there, but was a little fussing on the way home. Too long between meals. I really needed the walk, but I was a little bit sore last night. I should a have worked up to the mile.

Two weeks old!!!!

Today Hazel turned two weeks old! It's seem like longer. What a blessing she has been in our home.

Other good news is that she passed the hearing test today. I was getting nervous because it took 3 times on her right ear. But the nurse keep on trying until she passed. Now we just need to fatten her up a bit.

Sunday's are great!

Well, we made it to Church Sunday morning. It was a fun day for the kids. They loved showing off Hazel. She did really well at church. I got a nice long nap after church. Which is even better.

The other picture is of Autumn and Liam listening to a book. Every night Autumn ask to read to Liam and he loves it. Tonight she must have been to tried to read out loud.

Hazel Perkins

Hazel was born at 4:30 PM on Wednesday January 14th 2009.
She weighed 8LB 9OZ.
She is 20 1/2 inches tall.


Third time is a charm! Finally the wait is over. She did come fast like we hoped.

She has been a great baby so far. I do need more sleep, but hopefully will get more tomorrow.

Cindy, guess Finn is now yours. Dan was willing to share and for most of the first day of her life we were still going with Finn for a girl, but the kids would go for it.
